A social justice framework for ending sexual and domestic violence.

The JDI Board of Directors Annual Meeting will have two components: a morning meeting session with JDI Members and an afternoon program session with friends and allies.

SCHEDULE:

10:00 AM Registration

10:30 AM – 1:30 PM   Annual Meeting  (The morning portion of the day is for JDI Members and JDI’s Board of Directors only.)

10:30 - 11:30 AM Reports and Election of Officers
11:30 AM - Adjourn Annual Meeting
11:30 AM - 12 Noon - Break and Lunch Provided by JDI
12:00 Noon - 1:30 pm
- Convene Strategic Planning Presentation and Discussion with JDI members

1:30 – 2:00 PM Break  

2:00 – 5:00 PM   JDI Board Annual Meeting Program (The afternoon portion of the day is for JDI Members and our allies and supporters.)

JDI’s Board of Directors invites you to engage with us in a conversation about our vision for prevention as a means towards social justice. National and statewide leaders will share their expertise and experience around trends, innovations, challenges and successes.  One panel will explore the possibility of prevention in our work. Another panel will share lessons learned from Massachusetts campuses to Penn State.

Panel: Exploring our vision for prevention in our work

  • Monika Johnson Hostler, Executive Director, North Carolina Coalition Against Sexual Assault.
  • David S. Lee, Director of Prevention Services and Manager of PreventConnect, California Coalition Against Sexual Assault
  • Joan Tabachnick, Executive Director, MASOC (Massachusetts Adolescent Sex Offender Coalition) and Policy Consultant to MATSA (Massachusetts Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers)
  • Isa Woldeguiorguis, Executive Director, Center for Hope and Healing

Panel:  Building campus environments and youth leaders for social change.

  • Jannette McMenamy, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Psychological Science and Director of FAVE, Fitchburg State College
  • Delilah Rumberg, Executive Director, Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape
  • Rebecca Lockwood, Associate Director, Center for Women and Community, U Mass Amherst
  • Duane de Four, Project Manager at MIT’s Program for Violence Prevention and Response

The entire day is free of charge.  When registering, please indicate each portion of the day (morning and/or afternoon portion) you plan to attend.

IMPORTANT NOTE: 

Due to security at the Federal Reserve Building, pre-registration is required. 

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, October 23 at noon.
