9th New England Rural Domestic and Sexual Violence Forum: Art in Action: The Power of Creativity for Healing and Transformation

The Massachusetts Rural Domestic and Sexual Violence Project of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health is excited to announce that registration is now open for our 9th New England Rural Domestic and Sexual Violence Forum:  Art in Action: The Power of Creativity for Healing and Transformation. 

A range of inspiring and innovative presenters will be joining us, including Magdalena Gomez, Latina performance poet and playwright; the Survivor Theatre Project; Puertominicana Percussion Ensemble; and Phallacies Inc., innovative theatre group.  Participants will learn how a variety of creative art forms – theater, writing, visual arts, movement, music, circus arts and more – are promoting healing and transformation for abuse survivors and for society.

This two-day event is free of charge and lunch will be provided.  A block of hotel rooms has been reserved if you would like to spend the night. The group rate is available through April 30.
