It's time to stand with sexual assault survivors and ask Massachusetts leaders to take every possible measure to keep our campuses safe. Right now, two sexual assault prevention bills sit before the Massachusetts State legislature that are almost universally supported by survivors, advocates, and researchers.
We want to show support for these two bills: H.4159 requires every Massachusetts college and university to administer an anonymous sexual assault climate surveys to their students. S.2203 ensures that the sexual assault reporting and response requirements set by the Obama administration not only stay in place, but are made stronger than ever before. Both bills have been endorsed by survivors' advocacy groups including Jane Doe Inc.: The Massachusetts Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence, the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, No More, End Rape on Campus, and Know Your IX, as well as thousands of students across almost 20 campuses statewide. Together, we can make sure that the legislature receives the message loud and clear: these bills deserve a vote. Thank you for joining us to demand change.
