Let’s talk About How You Can Shape Media Messages

Regarding Sexual Violence In Your Communities…

April affords two great opportunities to get our message out about sexual violence: (1) Sexual Assault Awareness Month in general and (2) release of the report from the President’s Task Force on Campus Sexual Violence is expected around April 22.

On March 25th, JDI will host a 1½ hour conversation so we can learn from each other about message development, relationship building with journalists, and preparing ourselves to speak to the media.

Isa Woldeguiorguis of Center for Hope & Healing and Laura Martens of New Hope will start us off by sharing their experiences  working with the media. Then we’ll open up the conversation to hear what’s on everyone’s mind and how we can support each other to be effective media advocates.

(Note: we’ll hold a separate call specifically about the President’s Task Force report.)
